If I let you go
Day after day
Time passed away
And I just can’t get you off my mind
Nobody knows, I hide it inside
I keep on searching but I can’t find
The courage to show to letting you know
I’ve never felt so much love before
And once again I’m thinking about
Taking the easy way out
But if I let you go I will never know
What my life would be holding you close to me
Will I ever see you smiling back at me?
How will I know if I let you go
Night after night I hear myself say
Why can’t this feeling just fade away?
There’s no one like you
You speak to my heart
It’s such a shame we’re worlds apart
I’m too shy to ask, I’m too proud to lose
But sooner or later I gotta choose
And once again I’m thinking about
Taking the easy way out

Few would deny that men and women differ physically. […] But their brains and behavior reflect no significant differences, argue many people, including some psychologists. Increasingly, it seems, it is de rigueur to reject or downplay psychological differences between the sexes – despite substantial scientific evidence that they exist.
Women tend to engage in more altruistic behavior and rate higher on certain measures of empathy. Men, on average, perform better on tasks in which they mentally rotate an object, while women can better remember the location of objects. Evolutionary theorists postulate that sex differences arose because male and female hominids faced different reproductive and survival pressures.
Men are also much more likely to be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, for instance, while rates of mood disorders and Alzheimer’s disease are higher among women. These sex differences can have important implications for understanding and treating disorders.
A recent review of sex differences in vulnerability to stress examined findings in humans and nonhuman animals on molecular as well as behavioral levels. Among those findings […] is that “boys and girls, particularly adolescents, had different responses to experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder. Girls had internalizing symptoms, such as self-blame, and boys engaged much more in externalizing behavior,” including acting disruptively. […] The same disorders can [therefore] produce considerably different symptoms.
Sex differences can be important in the development of medications, too. […] past efforts show that a drug tested on male animals won’t necessarily work for human females.
“No one’s saying that men and women are completely different beings. There is probably more that overlaps than is different,” [Georgia] Hodes says. “But we need to understand these differences. I think it becomes especially important when you’re trying to develop better treatments.”

Three people have died of a mysterious lung illness linked to vaping as cases skyrocket
Federal officials announced today that over 450 people across 33 states and the US Virgin Islands have come down with a deadly lung illness that has been linked to e-cigarette use. That more than doubles the total number of reported cases nationwide — last week, the total stood at 215 possible cases in 25 states.
Officials in Indiana also announced today that a person in their state has died of the disease, bringing the nationwide death toll from the illness to three. The outbreak of the mysterious lung disease is one of two ongoing public health investigations related to e-cigarettes. In addition to trying to uncover the cause of the lung disease, the Food and Drug Administration is also collecting reports on possible seizures related to e-cigarette use.
The exact cause of the illness remains unknown, but investigators think that it is likely related to a chemical exposure, instead of an infectious agent. The New York State Department of Health announced yesterday that a chemical called vitamin E acetate had become “a key focus” of their investigation, and had been found in “nearly all cannabiscontaining samples” that the state had tested.

Light and the body clock: the key to a good night’s sleep?
The cycle of sleep and wakefulness is one of the key human behaviours. We spend about a third of our lives asleep and cannot survive without it. When asleep, our brain memorises and processes information. Our body clears toxins and repairs itself, allowing us to function properly when awake. Even short-term sleep deprivation significantly affects our wellbeing. One study suggested that after 17-19 hours of staying awake, performance on cognitive tasks may be similar to having had too much to drink.
These effects worsen over time. But while scientists have long understood the importance of getting enough sleep, the key part played by light exposure can sometimes be overlooked. The reason light is so important is that it sets our body clock via specialised light sensors within the eye. Our eye detects the light and dark cycle within our environment and adjusts the body’s rhythm so that the internal and external day coincide. This is so powerful that people who have very severe eye damage can find their body clock is thrown off, leading to sleep problems.
Today, many of us miss out on these environmental cues as we work inside. We have become a light deprived species, and this has far reaching consequences for the quality of our sleep, and consequently our wellbeing.
Further research and greater awareness in this area could help individuals to make informed choices about prioritising their own sleep and getting enough sunlight. It could also influence the way that policies are developed by governments, educational institutions and workplaces. Minimising light exposure before you go to bed, and trying to get as much morning light as possible, are simple steps that could help most people to regulate and improve their sleep.

MARITIME ACCIDENTS
Accidents on Tugboats
Tugboats are those which help move huge
ships to enter docks. They are small in nature but
are powerful to ensure that the large vessels are
handled safely. But sometimes because of the
blockage of the visibility of tugboats by the larger
vessels, maritime accidents occur. Also, human
error on the part of the pilot of the tugboat can also
lead to unwanted and unexpected tugboat mishaps.
Accidents on Oil Tankers
The major cause of accidents on tankers is
explosions. Since the very nature of the materials
these tankers transport is dangerous and highly
flammable, even the most minor of explosions can
cause enormous losses. According to statistics, one
of the main reasons for oil tanker accidents
occurting is because of workers” negligence nearly - 84-88%.
